Access to the profession Print

To exercise this profession, it must meet the following conditions (Law of  07/10/2017 « Loi Jambon Act »):

  1. Being older than eighteen years old
  2. Not have been convicted even suspended:
    - to a term of imprisonment of six months at least the head of any offense, or at least three months for assault and battery .
    - to imprisonment for a lesser penalty or a work of fine count of theft , extortion, embezzlement, fraud, forgery, indecent assault, rape ... (see “vigilis” website for complete list).
    - The convictions abroad are also taken into account. In addition, for admission to the 6th business practice, staff performance may not have been convicted, even conditionally, to any misdemeanor or criminal fines, penalty work or prison.
  3. Be a national of a Member State of the European Union.
  4. Have his principal residence in a Member State of the European Union.
  5. Do not perform simultaneously the same activities of private detective, a manufacturer or dealer in firearms or ammunition.
  6. Have not been over the preceding five years, a member of a police service or public service information.
  7. Meet the conditions for professional training.
  8. Meet the necessary security conditions (morality).
  9. Satisfy the conditions of medical and psycho review.
